Waikamoi Trail Sign The Hawaii Service Trip Program, Sierra Club scheduled a one-week service trip at Waikamoi Trail on Maui

Built-in steps eases the climb We finished our job assignment early and started digging new trails in the Makawao Forest Reserve and Kahakuloa area.Building steps along the steep sections fo the trail eases the climb

 

Work hard, eat hearty We stayed at historic Kaulanapueo Church Hall, in Huelo, Maui. The crew work hard, eat hearty, enjoyed a "Gotta Be Hawaiian Talent Show" and played marathon card games.

 

HSTP trips are not all work and no fun During ourfree time, we swam at neighboring streams, hiked Haleakala, swam at Fleming Beach, toured Maui, proving that HSTP trips are not all work and no fun

 

Maui Na Ala Helewas pleased with our work and want the Sierra Club to come backand do more trail work. Yeah!!
