Lore of the Wild
... or is it "Lure of the Wild"?
What draws a normal human being into the woods? Is it the animal in us
who still enjoys gnawing on a rib at a BBQ? Searing meat over a
campfire?
Or is it a dream of being a self-sufficient, self-reliant
hunter-gatherer of all we need to survive and live comfortably in a
world that does not depend on high-tech, robotic made and machine
processed foods and goods. Of being "at home" in a natural environment
of an earlier era.
Consider the (non-comprehensive) list of participants below. Although
all share many common knowledge, methods, techniques and gear, each
emphasize a different aspect of outdoor activity.
