THE EMERGENCY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB
NIGHTLY NET SCRIPT
QST QST QST The Emergency Amateur
Radio Club nightly net will start in one minute. The EARC nightly net will
start in one minute. (Tonight's technical forum is on ________.) This is
(your callsign). (Clear any stations off the frequency if you need
to.)
Calling the Emergency Amateur Radio Club net. Calling the EARC Tuesday night
net. This is (your callsign), net control station for tonight's session
of the Emergency Amateur Radio Club net. My name is (your name),
(phonetic spelling of your name) and I am located in (your location).
The EARC net is to train participants in emergency net operations, as well
as serve the community and all radio amateurs. The net meets daily on the
146.880 MHz Diamond Head repeater, except Friday when it is conducted on
the l46.800 MHz Mauna Kapu repeater. On the second and fourth Wednesdays
of the month, the RACES net will be conducted instead of the EARC net.
All radio amateurs are invited to join in. Island visitors and neighbor
island stations are especially welcome to join us. We also acknowledge scanner
enthusiasts monitoring the net and encourage those interested in learning
more about amateur radio to attend the
monthly meeting of the Emergency Amateur Radio Club held every fourth Thursday
of the month at Lincoln Elementary School at 7pm.
This is a directed net, and after all Net Announcements and Items of Interest
have been handled, we will conduct a rag-chew session for your comments.
To check into the net, please give net control your callsign slowly using
standard phonetics. Each station will be
acknowledged individually. Where possible, stations are asked to monitor
the input frequency to relay for stations having difficulty hitting the
machine and to be alert for other anomalies.
This is (your callsign) pausing for emergency use of the frequency.
This is (your callsign) standing by for any Net Announcements or
Items of Interest for the net (or items for the technical forum).
This is (your callsign) pausing for any Mobile Stations for the EARC
net.
This is (your callsign) pausing for any visitors or neighbor island
stations.
This is (your callsign) standing by for any portable stations for
the EARC net.
This is (your callsign) standing by for any other stations for the
EARC net.
(Now, take the Net Announcements and Items of Interest and call that operator
and tell him or her to go ahead with his or her announcement. After they
are done, go to the mobile stations, then to the visitors, then neighbor
island stations, then to the regular stations. Once in a while, pause in
calling the next station and say,
This is (your callsign) pausing for additional check-ins.
This is (your callsign) pausing for any Late Check-ins or Final Comments.
This is (your callsign) closing the Emergency Amateur Radio Club
nightly net. Thank you everyone for your help and participation. You are
invited back again tomorrow night at 19:30 hours Hawaii Standard Time for
another session. This is (your callsign) returning the 146.880 MHz
repeater back to normal amateur use. 73 and aloha, (your callsign)
clear.
